The game will be returning to the second World War, and will be quite different compared to CoD4 in a lot of ways.
For example, CoD:WW will have a co-operative mode, meaning you can play a lot of missions in the game with upto four players. The singple player will also have a feature called "death cards", which you can use to change certain elements of the game, to make it harder for example.
After finishing the game you can also play a special easter egg, co-op versus nazi zombies, with unlimited levels (Treyarch developers themselves got to level 23).
On the MP front a lot of changes have been made as well, which the following article describes very decently:

Basically: more, more and more.
Anyway, the game will be released the 14th of November in Europe, so make sure to mark that date on your agenda!
